Don t Buy Gas if You Can t Buy Insurance

Sep 26

The price if gas has risen astronomically in the past decade but the cost of car insurance hasn t. There doesn t seem to be any logic to a person being able to afford to drive if he/she cannot afford to purchase insurance. To most people it seems lazy and irresponsible. If you compare car insurance rates to the cost of a couple of gallons of gas, I believe you will see where this thought comes from. Think about how much insurance will run you in a month s time. Possibly anywhere from $50 to $100 dollars a month, now divide that by the week and assess how much you spend on gasoline in a week. I think by performing a few simple calculations such as these will help you see how foolish not carrying proper car insurance is.

Now consider the cost involved with an accident that could occur while you are uninsured. Read more…

Lawlessness on our roads necessitates car insurance and caution!!

Sep 26

This past long weekend the Arrive Alive website received numerous reports of vehicle crashes. Prior to the weekend we have added safety suggestions and advice on this and many other blogs. Unfortunately many of these accidents could have been prevented – and many were the result of road users not adhering to the Rules of the Road.

Errant driver skipping traffic lights

The above photo is just one of these examples. A side-impact accident at the intersection of the R25 and Emerald Boulevard left three people injured, one seriously so. It appears that an errant driver ignored the traffic lights and smashed into another vehicle that was crossing the intersection.

When paramedics arrived at the scene they found the twisted remains of both vehicles obstructing the roadway. T

Cars that could save on Insurance in this Return-to-School Season

Sep 24

As the school and university year begins for the current year, it would be helpful to know which of the cars could be a good option for your younger member of the family. Insurance companies have always asked consumers to compare car insurance in order to gain good priced insurance policies, however, choosing the right car could also add credits to your pocket. When it comes to younger drivers, choosing right cars often counts as a prominent clause, as insurance companies do not have good notions about doling lower premiums for them. A recent study by a stellar car warranty company shows that Honda Jazz would be a promising choice for the young UK drivers.

Honda Jazz comes with a student budget with its price just under £3,000 and is considered the best car as far as reliability is concerned.

Estrella Insurance Will Protect You

Sep 24

Whether shopping for car insurance or warranty programs, finding a reputable company that will be around is crucial.  Recently Great Lakes Warranty Corporation filed for bankruptcy and went out of business, according to “Car Insurance Company Leaves Customers Out In Cold.”  The story is from The Pittsburgh Channel as reported by Paul Van Osdol.  They have left thousands of car owners with warranties that most likely will be useless because of the demise of the company.  According to court documents, there are more than 24,000 consumers holding warranties with this now defunct car insurance warranty company.

The Better Business Bureau has already received hundreds of complaints regarding claims that have gone unfulfilled.  Filing a claim with the bankruptcy court is really the only way to try and recoup some of the money spent on a now useless car warranty.  While bad luck happens to good people, researching the history of the company you are purchasing any type of insurance through is crucial.  Estrella Insurance and Mercury Insurance are smaller car insurance companies with good reputations for protecting their customers.  By researching through the company’s website, the Better Business Bureau, and other consumer recommendations, hopefully you can avoid the problems that these warranty consumers are dealing with.

Stringent Rules from Insurance Sector to Counter the Uninsured Cars on UK Roads

Close to 1.5 million drivers in UK ride without insurance cover for their cars and while the same is considered as an illegal practice, there has been no improvement in the same.
