Gary Johnson took his first ever Isle of Man TT win today in the four lap Monster Energy Supersport race and the first TT win for his team East Coast Racing. Gary has been showing strong form all week with a great third place in the Superbike race on Saturday and a fourth in the first Supersport race on Monday but today was his day.

The 30-year-old from Lincolnshire meant business today when he set off on the four-lap race after rain ceased play on the Island yesterday. Gary was on a mission on lap one and the timing board had to wait for him to come through Glen Helen with his start number being 11, it was a waiting game the entire race. Read more…

New insurance scam by car scammers

The scammers are now duping the finance firms and car insurance companies by plotting new type of car insurance scam.

The criminal gangs arrange insurance and finance of the car on the basis of a clean identity driver that ensures easy insurance and credit checks while buying the car. The scammers let someone else buy or hire that vehicle to any driver with an insurance ban or bad credit. The sub-hired new cars are given to driver with bad driving record without notifying the insurers and lenders.

According to the head of the motor finance for the Finance Leasing Association sub hiring is an old phenomena but now it has become problem for both finance and insurance firms. Just in first three months of the year the motor finance fraud was up by 17% and car sub-hire fraud contributes half of finance fraud cases.
